Packed Red cells:
In situation of Acute bleeding, symptomatic anemia,
(Hb < 6g/d) to increase
oxygen capacity and red
cell mass, Myocardial ischemia.
Platelet Concentrate / Single: Donor Mega Unit
Bleeding due to thrombocytopenia or abnormal platelet function order. Chemotherapy induced thromocytopenia. In case of major surgery when platelet count < 50,000. Bone marrow failure e.g.
In Aplastic anemia, Massive
transfusion, Intraoperatively micro vascular bleeding.
Fresh Frozen: Plasma (FFP)
Multiple factor deficiencies including liver disease, urgent reversal of wafarin treatment, If appropriate factor concentrates are not available.
Cryoprecipitate: (CP)
Haemophilia ‘‘A’’, Von Willebrand disease, Hypofibrinogenemia, and Factor XIII deficiency.
Cryosupernatant: (C/S)
Haemophilia ‘‘B’’, Plasma exchange in TTP.
Fibrin glue:
In external bleeding e.g in bleeding gums, open wounds, surgeries in bleeding patients. |
