Bone Marrow Transplantation Briefing

 

Bone marrow peripheral / stem cell transplantation is a therapeutic modality recommended for those hematological and some non hematological disorders which are otherwise life threatening like beta Thalassemia Major, Aplastic Anemia, Acute and Chronic Leukemia, Lymphoma, Breast Cancers etc. After BMT/PSCT there are bright chances that the patient will be cured from that lethal disorder. For BMT/PSCT HLA matched (tissue matched) sibling brother or sister is required. Some time tissue matching is also possible from first degree relatives. Before BMT/PSCT the patient should be otherwise healthy in terms of their liver, heart and kidney status.

Is highly specialized in congenital bone marrow failure syndrome with storage disorder. Also offer Bone Marrow Transplantation to pediatric lymphoma and leukaemia.

 

Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

 

Specialized for Bone Marrow Transplant in multiple myeloma, acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, acute myeloid leukaemia and adult lymphoma. With results almost same as anywhere in developing countries.
